Columbia Association benefits are a genuine selling point.

Every home on CA-assessed property comes with access to one of the most comprehensive community amenity networks in the country -- pools, fitness clubs, open space, programs, and more. This page gives you what you need to tell that story confidently.

Columbia Association (CA) is the nonprofit behind Columbia's 43+ facilities, 23 outdoor pools, 95 miles of pathways, and the full range of community programs that define life here. Residents of CA-assessed properties get meaningful discounts on memberships through the free Columbia Card -- a tangible, ongoing benefit that comes with the address.

Talking points for buyers and sellers

CA benefits show up differently depending on where your client is in the transaction. Here's how to use them.

For buyers

This address comes with built-in amenities

Buyers are comparing Columbia properties to alternatives across the region. CA's network -- 23 pools, three fitness clubs, 95 miles of trails, and more -- is a genuine differentiator that's easy to quantify. A family Play membership for a CA resident runs $46/month versus $86/month for a non-resident.

For sellers

CA is part of what you're selling

Properties on CA-assessed land carry a community benefit that non-CA properties simply don't. The Columbia Card is free, the amenities are extensive, and most prospective buyers -- especially those coming from outside Columbia -- won't know this without you telling them.

For relocation clients

Columbia is intentionally designed for this

Columbia was master-planned from the start around community infrastructure. CA's role isn't incidental -- it's the mechanism that maintains and programs the amenities that come with living here. For clients relocating from other markets, this context matters.

Confirm a property's CA status

Check any address against CA's property assessment records before a client meeting. Know what you're working with before you walk in the door.

What your clients get -- and how they get it

When a buyer asks how this actually works, here's the answer. The Columbia Card is free, simple, and unlocks resident pricing across all CA facilities.

01

Confirm eligibility

Residents of CA-assessed properties qualify automatically. If the property is in Columbia, it almost certainly qualifies -- use the address lookup to confirm.

02

Register online

New residents apply at columbiaassociation.org or through CA Customer Care. They'll need a Columbia address and basic proof of residency -- typically a lease or utility bill.

03

Unlock resident rates

The Columbia Card is free, always. With it, residents receive discounted membership rates, 4 complimentary pool day passes each summer, and free 2nd Sunday Swim access June through August.

These are the current new-member monthly rates -- concrete figures you can share with buyers to illustrate the real value of a CA address.
